There are a few interesting links that I’d like to point out. One is from the wowhead blog. It is part one of a three part series on leveling the secondary trade skills: cooking, fishing and first aid. The second link is from a wow-related site that I very rarely, save this one aspect since I feel that it has not been duplicated on wowhead, Allakhazam.
First aid is pretty easy and self explanatory, for the most part. Cooking and fishing on the other hand, are not. Cooking is somewhat straightforward but can be difficult finding the recipes that you need to continue leveling. Fishing is boring and takes forever to level. The folks at wowhead have provided a very nice guide for leveling these skills in their blog post, Skills to Pay the Bills: Fishing.
There are some very nice cooking recipes out there, especially for the fish that you loot while fishing. My goal is to level my first aid, fishing and cooking skills to 450. My first aid is well on it’s way but my cooking and fishing skills are still very lacking. Right now, my first aid is around 400 whereas my cooking is at 116 and my fishing is at 55. Cooking is made much easier if you level fishing at the same time and that is what I plan on doing.
Before WotLk was released, my primary professions were skinning and mining. A few days before wrath was released, I kept mining, dumped skinning and picked up jewelcrafting, mostly for the trinkets and gems that only jewelcrafters can use.
The other link that I wanted to provide is one that I use while leveling, to try and determine if I should go back to Orgrimmar to train after I ding a new level. It is the Spell List, by class:
