I logged in this past Saturday with an invite to an Alliance city raid. I had just respecced to prot and I didn’t yet have my Titansteel Shield Wall. I was the ONLY tank in the raid at the time so by default, I was the maintank! I only had 17.8k health and 535 defense. My health was really low and I was still crittable by the bosses we would be facing.

Thankfully, a much better geared prot pally joined the ranks and he was the default maintankadin! I was relegated to OT duties, i.e. meat shield in case the MT died.

The raid took about 90minutes, 70% of which was running from Alliance city to city. It really seemed like it went by much quicker than that. We started out with only 28 people or so but we quickly got up to about 40 after we downed the first two bosses. We only met mild Alliance resistance in Ironforge and everywhere else was just about dead. I finally got a very cool achievement, For the Horde!

I also have a badass Black War Bear, something that I ride around with joy!
