I’m on-call for my stupid shitty job. I got a page at 2:32am “something’s fucked up, fix this shit now. no, it can’t wait”. So I get up, do whatever I have to do for about an hour then traipse my unhappy-yet-sleepy ass upstairs. It’s 3:30 and I lay there for a while, not sleeping, wishing I was asleep and then Aaron screams. I get up, go to him and he screams that he doesn’t want me, he wants his mommy. Mommy comes in and then what the fuck else happens? Eli wakes up and starts to cry. Frustrating?! NO, not frustrating enough apparently because…my fucking pager goes off again and then again AND AGAIN!!! ZOMG WTF is going on with the system?! I leave a dreary wife and a screaming/crying 3 year old. I go acknowledge the pages and then call the operator - WTF is going on dude? - not a direct quote, I’m paraphrasing. pager goes off again! FUUUUUUUUCK. manager comes online - “what’s happening?” “um, my pager is blowing up, how’s your night/early morning going?”. then Aaron tells us that he’s not tired and doesn’t want to go to bed. I think “yeah right, it’s 4am, this kid will be going back to sleep”. Noooooope, he was awake when I left the house at 6am. when Meri wakes up around 7 or 8, he will have missed between 3 and 4 hours of sleep.

what a great day! did I happen to mention i’m supposed to be working from home today but can’t because I have a meeting regarding a project that I’m taking over?

I’ve been getting headaches pretty consistently for the past 3 days. every day, i’ve gotten one in the mornings. yesterday, advil helped kick it. today, I’m trying coffee to see it is a caffeine addiction withdrawal type of thing. i don’t think it is but you never know.

Saturday
went to Aaron’s soccer game,

went to a birthday party with over 100 people for one of Aaron’s neighborhood friends/soccer teammates,

Sunday
cleaned up the garage thanks to a major kick in the ass from meri,

donated multiple things to the Goodwill and Salvation Army (why the hell didn’t that Goodwill take furniture?!),

bought the necessary things needed to create my own pegboard and some other “get shit off the floor” organizational tools for the garage,

went to a water park in oviedo where we paid $8/person to get in. some little girl fell and busted her head open, emt’s showed up, very exciting for the people around us.

dinged 53 on my pally, sold that blue mace for 50g

eli slept like a champ all day sunday, until night-time, then it was payback for having slept all day - take THAT mom and dad!

all-in-all, a good, although busy (for me), weekend.

now I’m on-call at work. yay

I dinged 52 on my pally last night! w00t!

aaron came into bed with us at around 12:43 last night. after that, I couldn’t go back to sleep so I got up. I played WoW for about 2 hours and then came back to bed. it took me a while to go back to sleep. I eventually fell back to sleep and then my alarm went off at 4:50. I turned it off, thinking “to hell with getting up now, I’ll get up at 5:30″. yeah… 5:30 turned into 6:04 AND I had to take a shower, look for my new deodorant, shave and get dressed (they frown upon working naked here, go figure!). I got ready for work and ALMOST ran out of the house at 6:18 but couldn’t find my wallet. that’s the second time this week! So I went back upstairs, found my wallet and then rushed out of the house. I got to work about 7 minutes late. Not bad for leaving the house close to 25 minutes late!

Blanchard’s Stout just dropped for me in Un’goro Crater. I put it up in the auction house for 50g buyout.

playing on my pally again, ganked 3 times by the same fucking druid, druidness of <the core> on maiev. 3rd time, an alliance pally helped him finish me off. bastards
