and my rogue hit 26 this morning – two levels while on-call.  I guess being on-call is useful for something!

Great…I just got my second page tonight, first one was at 2am.  If that job is offered to me, I’m going to take it.  This is bullshit! I probably slept for about 25m after that last page.

I got a page at 2am after going to be at 11pm - WTF?! all week of no calls overnight and my first night on-call, I get a 2am page. bullshit

So I’ve been playing WoW quite a bit lately. I’m re-fascinated with the game since I really started with my rogue (Backpain of Maiev). She’s dinged 24 just a few moments ago. Leveling combat-specced rogues while dual-wielding swords, seems like cheating in my opinion - everything seems to go down pretty fast with them!

That pally of mine (level 55) is on hold for a while. My account is due to be cancelled on 6/23 (15 days from now) but I don’t think I’m going to let it - at least that’s what I’m thinking now!

pally hit 55 this morning, yay! rich is going to have his druid to 70 before I have my pally there! if I had ANY time to play, that would not have been the case. he’s a warcraft addict, to be sure.

I went swimming with Aaron twice yesterday. the second time, I got some water in my ear and it is bothering the hell out of me. it’s like the pressure from a plane ride minus the pain. it is just annoying more than anything.

I installed FF3 RC1 on my home pc and now on my work laptop. at home, it seemed a lot faster. That may or may not be an actual speed increase on the browsers end since 90% of my add-ons were incompatible (and therefore disabled) when FF3 was installed.

There is a bunch of talk about Microsoft buying facebook. Check it out on friendfeed.com here and here! Given the example that Robert Scoble gave in his blog post about why this would be a bad thing, I agree that with his opinion that this could be very bad for the internet in general. He kicked off the discussion on twitter.com.

I think I’ve lost my enthusiasm for playing warcraft. It was fun for a long time (well over a year) but now I feel like I just don’t have the time to devote to it. I have too many other important things going on in my life right now. Eli’s growing up (smiling like crazy!). I played my pally this morning and got her to 54 and hearthed. I’ll probably play till my paid time expires on June 29th but after that, I’ll be taking a break for a while, if I even come back to playing

I’m on-call for my stupid shitty job. I got a page at 2:32am “something’s fucked up, fix this shit now. no, it can’t wait”. So I get up, do whatever I have to do for about an hour then traipse my unhappy-yet-sleepy ass upstairs. It’s 3:30 and I lay there for a while, not sleeping, wishing I was asleep and then Aaron screams. I get up, go to him and he screams that he doesn’t want me, he wants his mommy. Mommy comes in and then what the fuck else happens? Eli wakes up and starts to cry. Frustrating?! NO, not frustrating enough apparently because…my fucking pager goes off again and then again AND AGAIN!!! ZOMG WTF is going on with the system?! I leave a dreary wife and a screaming/crying 3 year old. I go acknowledge the pages and then call the operator - WTF is going on dude? - not a direct quote, I’m paraphrasing. pager goes off again! FUUUUUUUUCK. manager comes online - “what’s happening?” “um, my pager is blowing up, how’s your night/early morning going?”. then Aaron tells us that he’s not tired and doesn’t want to go to bed. I think “yeah right, it’s 4am, this kid will be going back to sleep”. Noooooope, he was awake when I left the house at 6am. when Meri wakes up around 7 or 8, he will have missed between 3 and 4 hours of sleep.

what a great day! did I happen to mention i’m supposed to be working from home today but can’t because I have a meeting regarding a project that I’m taking over?

I’ve been getting headaches pretty consistently for the past 3 days. every day, i’ve gotten one in the mornings. yesterday, advil helped kick it. today, I’m trying coffee to see it is a caffeine addiction withdrawal type of thing. i don’t think it is but you never know.
